This is why the Student Advice Centre are hosting a week filled with events to provide you with all the information and checklists required to ensure the process of renting a property runs smoothly for you!     The marketing society are welcoming you to come and join them for an evening of socialising, bonding and free pizza. It’s a chance for you to meet the committee and fellow members, offering you a chance to ask any questions or brainstorm any future ideas you have for the society. There’s also a chance for any members to receive a Revs card, allowing them the chance to receive some great cocktail and food deals at the bar! Find out more.

    Join us in Venue for an evening of giggles and amazing drinks deals, at our brand new, new material comedy night, SHOOK!   • Pumpkin CarvingPumpkin Carving (1pm, meet outside the front of the SU building)

    In preparation for an evening of all supernatural beings, we are providing you with all the carving tips required to help you carve a spooky pumpkin to decorate your house and warn off any ghosts that may pass by. Whether you’re a first-time carver or an experienced pumpkin artist, for £1 come and join us to create your Halloween masterpiece. Find out more.

     
  • Halloween Ghost Walk (5:30pm, meet outside the front of the SU building)

    Join Give it a Go! For a haunted Halloween walking tour around Newcastle’s Quayside area, where grisly tales of the ghostly spirits, witches and murders will be relived and guaranteed to send shivers down your spine. This creepy retelling, is ideal to get you in the mood for an evening of tricks and treats and for only £4, who doesn’t enjoy a good scaring? Find out more.
     

  • Halloween in the ParkHalloween in the Park (5:30pm – 8:30pm, Felling Park, Gateshead)

    Friends of Felling Park and Town Centre group will be hosting a spooky event in light of Halloween and to demonstrate the fantastic work the Friends of group are planning. The event is offering students a chance to get involved with running the event, with some great volunteering opportunities on the day – such as, stewards, treasure hunt walkers, storytellers and many more. This is an excellent ‘one off’ chance to get involved in a fun community project and gain some experience assisting in a large event. Contact govolunteer.union@newcastle.ac.uk to sign up to the day.   • Halloween Spooktacular Mine Shaft Thirteen at Brockbushes (5:30pm, meet outside the Hatton Gallery, beside Northern Stage, NUSU)

    After stumbling across an old mine shaft earlier this year, within their Halloween Maze, Brockbushes Farm have lined up their scariest event yet. Mine Shaft 13 hosts ghostly tales of disappearances, illness and mysterious shadows lingering in and around the maze. After workers claiming to have heard clangs and groans extra-terrestrial to this world, most have kept great distance, leaving the mystery of the mineshaft to rest. Yet do you dare step foot into the maze to uncover the truth behind Mine Shaft 13? Join NUSU on a trip to the mineshaft for £10, to see if you have the guts to survive this creepy event.   • Luther’s Halloween CarnEvil (7:00pm -11:00pm, Luther’s)

    In light of All Hallow’s Eve, join us at Luther’s Bar for our Halloween CarnEvil, in association with Strongbow. Featuring spook-tacular drink deals, free giveaways and plenty of opportunities to win a handful of ghostly prizes – notably a trip to New Orleans for Mardi Grais, it is an event not to be missed!

    An evening of adrenaline surging, cheers and chants, and the chance to spend a little and win a lot, is sure to be on the cards for The Big Student Night Out  at Newcastle Races. Join NUSU for an entertaining evening of a variety of live music, exciting horse racing and of course a free drink! For only £9 a ticket, you can ‘bet’ this is going to be a night to remember!
