Monday 13th November

  • Irish Dancing Taster Session (6:30pm, History Room, 1st Floor, NUSU)
    Why not try something new and come along to have a fun evening of learning the art of Riverdance? Give it a go are offering you the chance to learn the basic steps of traditional soft shoe Irish Dancing and group choreography. Find out more.
     
  • Clubs and Society STI Testing Cube (11am- 3pm, Mon- Fri, Next to SU Reception)
    The annual Clubs and Societies STI testing cube is back. Win up to £200 for your Club or Society by getting each member tested. The Club or Society with the highest percentage of their members getting tested wins! Find out more.

Tuesday 14th November

  • Boohoo Sample Sale (12pm – 3pm, Venue, NUSU)
    Boohoo, Boohoo Man and Nasty Gal are taking over Venue for an afternoon to bring you some amazing bargains! From coats to jeans to dresses, a whole new wardrobe is waiting for you to scoop up for less than £5. Find out more.
     
  • BTC.com Formation Event with Bitcoin Cash Prize Giveaway (6:30pm – 8:30pm, Business School)
    BTC.com have teamed up with Newcastle Business School to present our Formation event, aiming to raise awareness of wallet security. From bitcoin to paper wallets the informative lecture will present a formative discussion to how to stay secure with Bitcoin and the wallet system. There will be a chance to receive a prize pf £50 Bitcoin cash and a variety of mystery prizes from a host of competitions and each attendant will receive Bitcoin cash once they are set up.

Wednesday 15th November

  • Extreme Trampoline (2:30pm – 4:30pm, Meet outside Hatton Gallery, NUSU)
    For only £5, you can be dodging, dunking and diving into a heap of fun at this Extreme Trampoline Park. The bounce arena has a mix of nine fun, bouncy features, from basketball to battle beam and performance walls, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Find out more.
     
  • Communication Skills Training (History Room, 1st Floor, NUSU)
    Excellent communication skills are key to success in a variety of aspects of life, this session is designed to help identify any barriers that prevent effective communication and unearth the key principles required to become an effective communicator across a variety of media’s.   • 60 Minute Escape Room: The Dungeon (4:30pm – 6:30pm, Meet outside the Student Union front entrance)
    Step back in time to a tale of two, middle aged kingdoms at war in this lock and escape room challenge. You are cast as a prisoner, locked in a dark dungeon, where your only hope at escaping is if you find the four elemental power crystals. You have 60 minutes to work as a team to escape your doomed fate! Find out more.

Thursday 16th November

  • Durham Luminere (6:30pm, Meet outside Hatton Gallery, NUSU)
    Durham’s infamous Lumiere light and art instillations return to the city, transforming the city into a winter wonderland like you’ve never seen before.   • Cocktail Masterclass Party and Food (5:30pm, Meet outside the SU building front entrance)
    Come and learn the tricks of the trade with Revolution’s Cocktail Making Class, helping you become a cocktail connoisseur in no time.   • Edinburgh Christmas Markets (8am, Meet outside Hatton Gallery, NUSU)
    Give it a Go is offering the chance for one of the most festive trips around. Edinburgh’s Christmas Market is one of the biggest in the UK, with countless amounts of gift stalls and delicious street food, we’ve got your Christmas shopping covered!   • Sailing and Yachting (9:30pm – 5pm, Meet outside Hatton Gallery)
    Join us on the trip to Derwent Reservoir, where you will have the opportunity to learn how to sail by fully qualified, experience instructors!
