The votes have been counted and verified and we’ve sounded the metaphorical Elections alarm: you have chosen your new Officer Team for 2017/18!

It’s been a week of campaigning all over campus, with banners draped across the SU and every possible stairwell, videos popping up on every social media feed and flyers quite literally flying into your face. But as of 12 noon on Thursday 9th March there was no more to do, the decision had been made as to who would be leading your SU next year.

In one of the most tightly contested Elections in NUSU history, it was no surprise that for many of the positions the difference between first and second place was as little as 30 votes, proving that every vote really does count.

The results were announced at Results Night at the SU on Friday 10th March, with hordes of campaign teams packing themselves into Venue to bear the nerve-biting wait to see if their champion was in fact champion of all.

With 5439 unique votes and 38773 total votes cast overall, your Officer Team for 2017/18 are:

Sabbatical Officers

President: Ronnie Reid
