Half marathons, oranges and jelly babies

On Sunday 10th September, students from Newcastle University took part in arguably the North East's biggest sporting event. The Great North Run consist of 13.1 miles of running which starts on Claremont Road and finishes at the coast in South Shields. Many students took part with many runners coming for a pre race shake out on Friday 8th September held in The Students' Union, a pre race prep talk by Dr Ian Whyte followed by a 5k run.
