Student Money Week

We know that finance and budgeting are a key concern for students, from how to save money when buying groceries; to budgeting for monthly bills-, we have your back!

This is why we are running our National Student Money Week run by your Welfare and Equality Officer and The Student Advice Centre!

This year, we have arranged different activities to help you manage your finances, and take away top tips for realistic, student budgeting!

Find up every day in the Cube from 11am-3pm

Monday 12th- Taste Testing: What is the real difference between brand and unbranded products!

We are going to be testing tortillas and hummus, with a competition of ‘guess the price of branded vs unbranded basket of shopping, and an extra bonus of possibly winning the shopping!

Tuesday 13th- Budgeting tips for the Household- come along and see some student top tips on our ‘Budget Tree’, and be in a chance of winning a prize! We will have Wayne our Worry Eater Box to answer any budgeting queries!

Wednesday 14th- Valentine’s Day! For all you love birds, we are making our own Valentines cards to send to that special someone, including a free rose and sweets for taking part!

Thursday 15th- handy information from the University Finance Team on how to budget around studying, including placement financial support, and to find out where our student finances really go!

Over the past few months there has been a number of reports of Chinese students being targeted and extorted out of considerable amounts of money.
