The Helping our Homeless Society has organised a shoe box appeal to help those in need over the Christmas period. They are filling shoe boxes with donated winter warmer items and they need your help. 

Donations needed:

  • Underwear
  • Socks
  • Roll on Deodorant
  • Wipes
  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Gloves
  • Hates
  • Scarves
  • Thermals
  • Sweet treats
  • Puzzle books
  • Torches
  • Dog treats
  • Bottle of water
  • Christmas cards
  • Umbrella 

Feel free to add other items however we will not accept aerosols, razors, alcohol will not be accepted. You can pick up an empty shoe box at the Students’ Union Reception and return it, full, to any of the following drop off points:

  • Main reception of the Students' Union
  • In the Kofi Bar of the Architecture building
  • 2nd floor Reception of the Urban Sciences Building
  • Staff room of the Armstrong Building
  • 3rd Floor Office of the Herschel Building

Alternatively, bring your donated items along to the wrapping session at 10am on the 4th December in the History Room (1st Floor NUSU) and help to sort, fill and wrap the boxes ready to be distributed. For more info please email Lucy from the Society.
