This is an exciting new project for 2018 to be delivered in local schools.  We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to develop and deliver fun language based workshops in local primary schools to inspire young people to learn a new language. This could involve reading a story in a non-English language and then doing some basic exercises around this –such as learning a song, how to count to 10, learning some key words.

We are particularly keen to involve students from eastern european countries and those who speak Arabic, but the project is open to anyone who can speak a second language as the aim is just to get young children interested in langauges at an early age.

There will be an information/training session on the afternoon of Wednesday 31st January

Contact Phil volunteercoordinator.union@newcastle.ac.uk if you would liek to be involved.
