The opportunity to be an Events & Activities Volunteer is open to people from lots of backgrounds. For example, you may be looking to share a skill from your previous education/employment or be looking to develop new skills and experience, or just eager to be outdoors in a busy events environment.

What’s involved? • Helping to run the brand new activity station at Gibside. • Setting up, delivering and pack down of exciting one-off events across several outdoor spaces. • Supporting evening, weekend and school holiday activities. Gibside Events & Activities programme includes: sports, arts & crafts, messy play, outdoor theatre, music nights, festivals, fundraising and much more.

As a National Trust Volunteer, you will be invited to socialise at Gibside team social events, claim travel expenses and have access to other National Trust Volunteer benefits.

If you are interested in volunteering at Gibside please contact govolunteer.union@newcastle.ac.uk

Once you’ve applied, you’ll be invited to a two hour Welcome Session at Gibside which will include an Intro to Gibside, a walkabout, try of the events kit and an opportunity to get to know you. Welcome Sessions are being held Friday 24 May, Tuesday 04 and Wednesday 05 June, Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 July. If you can make any of these dates, please get in touch as there will be others arranged.
