Project Surf

From June 2020 one of our volunteers Britanny is hoping to run a volunteer surf school for young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. She is looking for prospective student volunteers who have a keen interest in either surfing or working within autism services. Upon successful set-up of the project it will take place weekly in Tynemouth so this opportunity would be suitable for local students, post-graduate students or any students who stay in Newcastle over the summer.

Volunteers should be compassionate and enthusiastic individuals. Previous experience with individuals who have Autistic Spectrum Disorder isn’t necessary.

If you are interested or have any questions please email Brittany at b.culverwell@newcastle.ac.uk
