Are you looking to volunteer this academic year, meet new people who care about the same things you do, and above all, directly contribute to providing empowering, long-term forms of support to refugees and asylum seekers?
We are the UK's largest entirely student-run charity working internationally towards sustainable change in the "refugee crisis". Join hundreds of like-minded students across the globe, all working to unite the student body in support of the rights of refugees and asylum seekers worldwide and raise vital funds for NGOs providing legal aid. We have a variety of roles available, all of which combine events and awareness-raising with fundraising and publicity in a diverse, creative team. Law students looking to pursue a career in asylum and migration law, international law, or human rights advocacy would have the opportunity to expand their subject expertise via internal communications from the NGOs we support, as well as by hosting their own awareness raising events on campus. Students interested in politics, activist, or development work, or other work in the third sector, will also gain a valuable insight into the workings of an international charity. Those interested in careers in management or social work will gain communication and interpersonal skills, as well as fulfilling leadership experience. Our publicity and events positions on campus, too, will equip students with great communications, media, and event organisation experience.
