The Newcastle University Summer Music Festival

The Newcastle University Summer Music Festival is an annual, student run series of concerts and workshops that takes place in the last week of summer term. In 2018 we shall be celebrating ten years of the festival and want to make it the best yet!

We are looking for volunteers to make sure the events run smoothly across the week. From technical support to ticketing we are looking for people who are passionate about music and who want to get involved with the scene in Newcastle.

This is a great opportunity to get involved with the thriving music scene within the city and contribute to a tradition at the university. The events shall be taking place on and off campus from the 11-16th June. Over the course of the week there shall be jazz, folk, a contemporary improv night and a day festival at the Tyne Bar to name a few. We want as many people to be involved as possible and would love to hear from you!

Roles:

  • Tech and Sound support: Must have experience working with PA equipment, microphones, amplifiers etc.
  • Front of House - ticketing
  • Promotion
  • Carrying equipment
