A group of students are trick or treating in Newcastle, to raise funds and food donations for the Trussell Trust.

What are they doing?

On Thursday 31st of October they will be going door to door in Newcastle, asking for donations of food from the public that they can donate to the Trussell Trust.

During the build-up, they are leafletting the areas to let them know of our plan, and holding a few events through the week to raise awareness about what they are doing (and provide some fun for our volunteers involved as well!)

Who are the Trussel Trust?

The Trussell Trust is a NGO and charity that works to end the need for food banks in the UK. They support several foodbanks in Newcastle, and in the North East gave out over 88,00 meals last year.

How can you get involved?

They are looking for volunteers to help with leafletting, fundraising around campus, collecting on Halloween and sorting the donated items, as well as for people to come along and get involved in their fundraising events during the build up!
