Newcastle University Students’ Union  2018 – 2019 Sport Assistants x 2

Part time, up to 5 hours per week, term time only for the academic year 2018-19. The roles require flexible working including evening and weekend work and the candidate needs to be available from week commencing 17th September.

Rate of pay: A minimum of £7.38 per hour (in line with National Minimum Wage), Scale A0

The person in this post (along with one other part-time staff member) is responsible for assisting with the delivery of the Students’ Union’s Campus Sport programme.

The post will provide support to the Inclusive Sport Coordinator, involving delivering sports, promotion and marketing, engaging and recruiting student participants, and some administrative duties. 

The holders of these roles will be required to attend a number of sport sessions or events each week within the programme, and as such, the hours will be split over 2-3 days in short shifts, attending events and delivering promotion on and around campus. Candidates will need to be flexible with the hours they can work.

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, organisation, and communication skills, be very friendly and approachable, and actively seek engagement with other students. This post would ideally be suited for Newcastle University students.
