Housing Advice

Talking about moving in with a bunch of friends or spotted a nice looking flat at a bargain price?

Don't Rent Yet!

There are various pitfalls you might not know about until you move in and once a contract is signed, that's pretty much it!

Wait until Housing Advice Week and come to the Student Advice Centre for drop-in sessions and information. Grab a checklist of what to look out for and speak to us about suspicious contractual clauses.

Monday 30th October Find us outside the SU 12-2pm, grab some printed housing information and come to our drop-in session.
Tuesday 31st October Find us outside the SU 12-2pm, grab some printed housing information and come to our drop-in session.
Wednesday 1st November Housing Fair in the SU, come and speak to us!
Thursday 2nd November Come to an evening housing drop-in advice session 5-6pm at the SAC
Friday 3rd November Housing advice drop-in 9-3pm at the SAC

Please note, being an independent and impartial service, what the SAC cannot tell you is whether a particular company is reputable or not. But we can look at a contract, tell you whether something sounds suspicious, what to do if you have disputes, how to best prepare for a house visit, give general house hunting tips and help you with housing problems.
