NICOT; A new cross-campus competition!

Newcastle International Change-makers of Tomorrow

We're really excited to announce a new opportunity for Newcastle Uni students to travel across to Malaysia to take part in a cross-campus "competition of ideas" with other Newcastle Students from the Singapore and Malaysia campuses.

The event takes place at the NUMed Campus in Malaysia between April 6th - 10th 2017. NUSU will be able to provide £250 towards your trip.

Due to spaces on this trip being in very high demand, once you have signed up you will need to produce a 500-word brief outlinging the following:

  • The idea(s) you would bring to the NICOT conference
  • How these idea(s) fit into the NICOT brief which outlines "good health, clean energy and reduction of inequality" as the three Sustainable Development Goals it is focussing on.
  • Why you want to go

NUSU will rank the 500-word briefs, and successful applicants will be informed and can then book their flights. If anybody drops out, the subsequently ranked person will take their place.

Please email your briefs to education.union@ncl.ac.uk

Deadlines are listed below:

Feb 28th - 12pm Applications close
March 2nd - 12pm Deadline for the 500-word brief

The condensed version of the NICOT proposal will assist you in your brief https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7cRh80q5DaIQ1JGb19GNGRnSkE/view?usp=sharing
