A 100% pass rate……..4 motions submitted and 4 motions passed at Council last night. The fast paced meeting went quickly into full swing after the usual business of report approving was completed.

Now all historical issues have been sorted out, we will now have the pleasure of listening to NSR in the Students’ Union. 96% pass

A topic of debate for many on campus, passing this motion will help to ‘future proof’ faith provision offered to students. 89% pass

As discussions continue to solve the current Muslim prayer space issues, this motion will strengthen the student voice. 86% pass

St Mary’s residents get one step closer to connecting with campus. Ronnie Reid will continue his talks with the Accommodation services to re-establish a resident friendly bus link. 93% pass

Open debate : Should voting remain anonymous at Council?

The new Ombea voting system was trialled during the open debate and lots of questions about the function of the online voting facilities were answered. Council plans to swap to Ombea completed at the February meeting.

PEC form victory for students with caring responsibilities

Following campaigning from Holly Waddell (NUSU Student Parents, Guardians and Carers Officer), The Courier reports that the University has decided to support PEC form submissions for dependents of student parents, guardians and carers.
