Thanks in part to campaigning from the current and previous NUSU Education Officers and Academic Student Reps, the University has introduced a way in which students can request access to out of hours study spaces that are currently not open 24/7.
There are two ways in which this can be done:
- Contact the NUSU Education Officer (email@example.com)
- Contact your Course Representative so that they can bring it to their Student-Staff Committee (SSC)
Depending on where you have taken the request, either the Education Officer or Student-Staff Committee will bring your request to the University’s Learning & Teaching Spaces Sub-Committee.
If your request is approved there, then a space and project request will be created which will need to be approved by:
- The Pro-Vice Chancellor for Learning & Teaching
- Executive Board
If the request is approved by all three, then plans will be put in place to provide the out of hours access requested.
