Meet Eman Ahmed

Who am I?

I'm a third year Combined Honours student, studying Sociology and Media.

What is my role?

My role as a course representative is to bridge the gap between staff and students. By sharing students’ concerns and ideas to those higher up in the uni, course reps provide a voice to the student body, bringing change and improvement to higher education. Thus enabling students to shape their university experience.

What do I want to achieve?

This will be my second year in the student-staff-committee. So far my team and I have managed to brainstorm ideas around ways to connect Combined Honours students, sort out issues around Marking, Feedback and Assessment, and concerns that arose from the strike action that took place earlier this year. I hope to continue making progress in these areas and ensure that students feel fully supported during these unprecedented times.
