Meet Jayne Milburn

Who am I?

Hello everybody, my name is Jayne. I am a final-year Law Student and have always thought it important to be an active member of our brilliant Law School community. As a keen climber, I spend my spare time either at the wall, or getting very cold in our beautiful countryside!

What is my role?

As a School Representative I advocate and help address wider academic issues. I sit on the HaSS Faculty Education Committee, and furthered my role by volunteering to be the permanent (UG) School Representative attendee to ensure comprehensive understanding within the team. Resultantly, I then elected to become the HaSS (UG) School Representative for the Cross-Faculty Education Committee. This means that I get to help progress student concerns with continuity!

What do I want to achieve?

With Covid-19 bringing so many changes to the curriculum and delivery of content, the main thing I wish to achieve is to provide clarity and reassurance for fellow students. I am also enthusiastic about raising more awareness of our student representation structures to demonstrate how efficient they can be when they are engaged with!
