Meet Joseph Caddick

Image of Joseph See what I have planned for the year ahead

Who am I?

I'm a third year English Language student who is absolutely loving university, even with the restrictions this year. I love to write and bake in the little spare time I have, and I'm also the Puzzles Sub-editor for the Courier.

What is my role?

Attending meetings with Course Reps to collate their concerns about modules and try to resolve these with the staff in SVC meetings. Serious problems are then passed forward to other School Reps so we can raise them at various other meetings. A lot of meetings, basically.

What do I want to achieve?

I hope to make sure that the online teaching we're doing this year doesn't disadvantage students too much, and that students who get COVID are able to bounce back when they recover. We've raised numerous points like some kind of marking consideration for sick students and to try and make the library more accessible to those who work better at night, hopefully what we've said is taken on board.
