NUSU's ReCap Report

NUSU's ReCap Report now ready for all reps!

During the  2016/17 academic year, we completed a comprehensive research exercise to investigate how students at Newcastle University use ReCap and what their attitudes are towards it.

The report contains data from 1 main survey aimed at students in general, supplemented by 2 "sub surveys", one aimed at students with disabilities and the other aimed at students with sporting commitments. With nearly 900 responses across the surveys, the report painted a very interesting picture of how ReCap is used by students at Newcastle.

The report will now be made publicly available for all students to see, and we specifically hope our many course and school reps will take the report and use it to its full potential if they feel their school is behind the curve on lecture capture.

In addition, this year we are working on creating a nyth-busting document to help increase ReCap usage even further.

If you have any queries about how best to use the report, or would like any further information, please email the Education Officer (education.union@ncl.ac.uk) or our Representation and Research Coordinator rrc.union@ncl.ac.uk).
