Earlier this month, NUSU's Student Voice Report was approved by the University Learning Teaching and Student Experience Committee.

The Report draws on School Rep reports, annual reports from Student-Staff Committees, and the findings of our semester-long consultation with staff and students engaged about the naming of SSCs and how to better support Staff Facilitators.

The main recommendations of the report, which were all accepted by ULTSEC:

  • An updated SSC Staff Facilitator role description
  • That no changes are made to the Student Representation Policy regarding the naming of SSCs but for academic units to have the freedom to call their committees alternative names if they wish.
  • A review of PGR academic representation to be undertaken by NUSU in 2018/19.

The Report also identifies some of the main themes emerging from School Rep and SSC reports, as well as outlining areas for developing our training and support for Reps in 2018/19.

You can download the full report here.
