Our Society:

Newcastle University Conservative Society is a social space for those with an interest in British politics and conservative thought.
The society aims to be broadly associated but not officially affiliated with the Conservative and Unionist Party of the United Kingdom.
NUCS aspires to provide a place where debate, networking and activism are promoted while advocating for our civil liberties such as free speech, free association and free academia on campus.
We have regular events year-round including debates, speakers’ receptions, themed parties, port & policy, formal dinners, joint society events, competitions and charity dinners. This is as well as campaigning, going to conference and other party events.
Members will also be encouraged to engage with student politics, media and local political activism to question their beliefs and those of others.

Meeting Days, Times and Venues:

Under normal circumstances, the society usually meets for events once every two weeks on Thursday evenings. However, this is subject to change at the discretion of the committee. Full details (including dates, times, and locations) for any virtual or normal meetings and/or events will be published on our social media platforms.
