Feminist Society is a group of people who discuss the past, present and future possibilities of the Feminist movement.
We have various activities that are based around this theme, such as guest speakers, craftivism, discussions on different topics about and to do with feminism, protests and educational presentations.
We are an intersectional, trans-inclusive, anti-racist, body-positive society.
Feminist Society typically meets twice a week on a Wednesday and Thursday.
We usually try to meet on campus for talks and discussions but sometimes we may go on trips to other University campuses and venues in the city centre. We usually meet in the afternoon or an evening, when the majority of students are free. For the academic year of 2020-21, we are conducting all events through zoom, these can be found on our Facebook page.
There are no pre-requisites to join the society.
The Feminist Society ethos is one of inclusivity and intersectionality. The committee strives to make it a safe and welcoming space for all students.
