What is 'Respect'?
Being respectful not only means being respectful to others around you, your neighbourhood and your community, it means being respectful to yourself. Looking after yourself is really important, especially at University when you are thrown into new settings and experiences.
Whether you show your respect through campaigning, accessing specialist support or the disclosure of sexual harassment and discrimination this webpage pulls together all our information and support to help students look after themselves and be considerate of those around them.
What can we help with?
Here at NUSU, we offer a wide range of specilist support through our Advice Centre, coving a wide range of topics from housing, finance and academic issues. We actively support the use of Nightline, the confidential and anonymous tele-support service ran by experienced students as well as our Report & Support (our accessible online disclosure system for Sexual Harassment, Sexual Violence, Hate Crime, Discrimination and Bullying).
We also help you get involved with our welfare campaigns, and have some handy tips of safe drinking, being a Fresher as well as living in a new city.
