The Teaching Excellence Awards (TEAs) 2017
Thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination for the NUSU Teaching Excellence Awards (TEAs). We received a massive 349 nominations, many of them going into amazing detail about why you rate these members of staff so highly. Since nominations closed on 13 March, your Education Officer, Chris Duddy, and a number of School Reps have been through all the nominations that we received, shortlisting each category to a maximum of four candidates and picking the winners.
You can see everyone who was nominated in the ‘2017 Nominees’ page and we have just released who has been shortlisted here. We are also busy prepping for the fancy TEAs ceremony, which will take place on 4 May 2017. If your nomination has lead to a member of staff being shortlisted you may receive an invite to the ceremony!
Finally, we are starting to look through all the nominations as part of our work on the 2017 TEAs Report. For this we will analyse the nominations to see if there are any trends or interesting themes that come from the content of the nominations. You can see what we are talking about if you download a copy of the 2016 TEAs Report.
