Live Theatre : Live Tales - Writing Mentor

This opportunity takes place between 01 Oct 2019 and 30 Apr 2020. Applications closed on 13 Oct.

Live Tales allows teachers and children to explore creative writing from a new perspective. Through a mixture of drama and writing activities, the class collaborates to create a completely original story. Each child continues the story individually and receives an illustrated storybook to complete at school. • Working with children 1:1 and in small groups, to encourage their creativity and build their confidence. • Supporting the main facilitator in their delivery of the workshop. • Setting up and tidying the room ready for a class. • Contributing to volunteer briefings and debriefings (30minutes before and after each session).

Hours per week



A compulsory 70 hours is required for the CDM placement for the year, across October - April (terms one and two) Thursday: 9.30-12.30, 12.30-3.30 Friday: 9.30-12.30 (During school term time)
