Food Nation - Food Education Placement

This opportunity takes place between 01 Oct 2019 and 30 Apr 2020. Applications closed on 13 Oct.

Working with our Food Education Manager you will help to plan, design and create resources for a new assembly for KS1 and KS2 children. Sessions will be based around key public health messages to do with sugar and will initially be delivered in schools around Byker and Walker. In addition you may also get to co-deliver some assemblies if you wish to.

You will also get to volunteer at a range of our public and community work including cooking workshops, social lunch clubs, school sessions and more.

Suitable For

Someone with a good understanding of food and nutrition or has an art and design back ground, who is able to create high quality resources on a small budget and interested in working in formal or informal educational settings.

3-5 as per CDM requirement
