  • Volunteer Community Fundraiser

We’re also always campaigning to raise awareness of first aid and directly educate the public. Volunteer Community Fundraiser As a volunteer community fundraiser you can help us save lives, without ever picking up a first aid kit. We’re looking for bright, enthusiastic, determined individuals to join the fundraising team to help us deliver fundraising activities. You could be involved with bucket collections, merchandise sales, first aid awareness events to cheering on our amazing runners.

Every year, more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through our training programmes, including hundreds of thousands of young people. Our volunteers provide first aid in their communities, keeping people safe at events, and working alongside the NHS in response to 999 calls. As a Youth Team Volunteer you will; • Working as part of the youth team in your Unit to create a safe, inclusive, and open environment in which young people can learn life skills including First Aid on a weekly basis. • Supporting the delivery of games, activities, and sessions during Unit evenings as part of our Youth programmes. • Co-ordinating with colleagues in your team to ensure all young people are safe and supervised with at least one fully trained Youth Leader present at all times. • Empowering young people, encouraging inclusion and participation of all those within the Unit. • Supporting the Unit Manager as appropriate with young people specific tasks which may include • administration, collecting resources, paperwork, etc. • Delivering a quality programme and an exciting and fun experience to young people at St John Ambulance.
