FareShare North East take in good and in date food destined for landfill and distribute it to community groups and vulnerable people in the local area. We currently supply 129 community groups with food who in turn provide food to over 10,000 people each.

FareShare is a UK-wide charity fighting hunger and food waste. We redistribute surplus food to frontline charities and community groups that support vulnerable people. Our core mission is to reduce food waste, prevent landfill and tackle food poverty one step at a time. Warehouse Assistant - Working as part of a team to assemble daily deliveries of food for charities and community groups. - Able to perform physical tasks including lifting and loading. *Community Champion - Volunteering out in the community by visiting social, community groups and schools, to help to raise awareness of issues of food waste, food poverty and how FareShare aims to tackle the problem. - Organise your own local events. - Finding local charities who could benefit from food from FareShare. - Support national campaigns and one-off volunteering opportunities in the local area. *Social Media Ambassador - Working to promote FareShare North East through social media channels by creating and promoting engaging content, responding to queries and engaging with our Charity Food Member’s channels. - Keep the website up to date by adding regular content and blog posts. - Working to help us increase our online engagements. Drivers Assistants - Head out with drivers on food deliveries to charities and community groups across the region. - Helping the driver with navigation, route planning and timing. - Able to perform physical tasks including lifting and loading. *: Can be done remotely, however, check in with warehouse occasionally
