Career Development Module
Healthwatch North Tyneside is a local independent charity that believes health and social care work best when people are involved in decisions about their treatment and care. We consequently listen to peoples’ experiences of health and social care so as to feed this back to the people responsible for commissioning and providing services so they can take action to address people’s concerns and improve services.
This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date.
We are here to make sure peoples views on health and social care services in North Tyneside are heard. Volunteers will undertake agreed engagement activities in pairs. This will involve promoting Healthwatch North Tyneside in their communities and listening to peoples’ experiences of health and social care services, what’s working well and what isn’t working. Responses are recorded and used to identify trends and inform research. Volunteers will also signpost people to local health, care and support services together with identifying what matters to people and being involved in research projects to get a better understanding of a particular issue.
