During September there's a lot going on, so we have created a handy schedule for you to keep track of the key September dates for both the free welcome events, and as Freshers' 21. We can't wait to see you on campus.

    Freshers' Week Pass on Sale

    27 August

    Freshers' 21 is inching closer and closer, and we can't wait to welcome you to campus to celebrate the official RETURN of Freshers' at Newcastle University Students' Union. This year will be unlike any other, with the transformation of campus into the 'Welcome Village', taking Freshers' Week to a whole new level with on-site food trucks, bars, tipis, beach pits & event spaces. We hope you're as excited as we are! To get involved, you will need to purchase an official  Week Pass, which will be on sale from Friday 27th August. Freshers' 21 is open to all new students as well as any second years that missed out on Freshers in 2020.

    Student Move-ins

    Early September

    Across the first 2 weekends of September, we will be welcoming students into halls and accomodations in Newcastle. Whilst most internationals will be in an isolation period, we have a full-line up of virtual events that will keep you entertained.

    Welcome Village Opens

    11 September

    From today, our campus will be transformed into the Welcome Village, a social space like we've not had before. We welcome all students to come to campus and get involved in any of the welcome events happening over the course of September.

    Freshers' Week 2021

    19-24 September

    Freshers is BACK! If you have purchased your Freshers' Week Pass from our Freshers' website, you will get access to loads of incredible day-time, evening, and night-time experiences. These events are hosted on campus, as well as out in the city of Newcastle. For the full line-up, and information on purchasing your Week Pass, follow the link below.

    Clubs & Societies Fair

    19-21 September

    With over 240 Societies & Sports Clubs, this is your opportunity to meet likeminded people and make your University experience your own. We are hosting a 3-day Clubs & Societies Fair which you'll be able to attend in-person, as well as virtually.

    Discover Newcastle Fair

    28-29 September

    Hosted over 2 days in Venue (lower level of the Students' Union), this is your opportunity to grab some offers & freebies, as well as meet some of the best companies in Newcastle. From food & drink, to leisure & entertainment, the Discover Newcastle Fair is not one to be missed.

    Welcome Village Closes

    30 September

    And with that, the Welcome period comes to an end and campus returns to its usual glory. But fear not, the fun won't stop here. Campus will be abuzz with student activities, gigs, events at Luthers' Bar, as well pop-up-shops from our favourite brands.
