What is the Students' Union Trustees Board?
Having become a registered charity in 2009, Newcastle University Students' Union is required to have a board of trustees in place. The trustees ensure NUSU is meeting the legal and financial requirements, whilst also providing guidance and structure for future strategies and decision-making. Our board of trustees consists of six Full-time Sabbatical Officers (elected by you), two appointed students and four external members, chosen based on their level of experience, knowledge and skills.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Having graduated from a 4 year Maths and Statistics course here at Newcastle in 2017, I am now in my 2nd year of a PhD in Bayesian statistics. During my time as an undergraduate I have been part of my course's Student-Staff committee, had roles as the treasurer and publicity officer on the Maths Society, and have volunteered to help with the running of both Freshers Week and RAG Week. Now as a postgraduate I have kept on many of these responsibilities and added roles on the Students' Union's Steering Committee and Student Council, as well as becoming a committee member of the RAG society. Outside of university, I enjoy spending time socialising with my friends, playing music, running and cooking.
